Upon your arrival in Whitehorse we will transfer you to our base of
operation. There you have almost two whole days to fully arrive,
and sort your gear. We will do a canoe course and you can get yourself
adjusted to the idea of living in the wilderness.
In the morning of the third day (except Pelly short) we will start to
our river put in.
The drive will take us between 3 hours to the Teslin and over 10 hours
to the MacMillan. All the drives are little experiences by themselfs.
We will have ample opportunity to be stunned by what nature has to
offer even along the highway and quite often we will stop to take
closer looks at reminders of the goldrush of 1898.
After we arrive at the put-in we will unload our gear and carefully
repack it in our canoes. A last good-bye to our driver and we will be
all to ourselves.
With the days go by we penetrate deeper into the vast wilderness.
Senses get tuned and you will notice things that would be totally
unimportant otherwise. A little crackle lets you anticipate one of
the Yukon's magnificent animals step out of the dense forests cover.
You will soon feel part of the Yukon's magic and mystery.
Given a steady daily pace, we make sure that you will never feel
in a hurry. Often we will just drift with the rivers current and watch
the game go by at shore or take a sunbath.
Part of the common experience is everybody's contribution to the daily
camp routines. This and the purposely small number of clients in each
tour is an ideal basis for a relaxed and unforgettable time.
If there are no other statements made, our tours are perfectly
suitable for beginners. In fact, the vast majority of our clients are
beginners. Necessary skills will be taught before and during each tour.
