Our business philosophy encompasses some important principles and we want to
share them with you: | 1. Direct contact to our customers is most important for us. For this matter we purposely do not want to become a "big trip" operation, despite the fact that this means not to follow the usual business strategies. 2. We have no interest in "processing" as many customers as possible. We want you to have a highly exclusive and personally satisfying experience. We have much smaller groups than most of our competition. We think it is quite encouraging that almost half our customers book a second tour with us and quite a few appreciate our service enough to come back on a regular schedule. 3. We belive that canoeing is one of the best ways - if not the best - to experience the North, a land that produced and used the canoe as it's prime means of transportation for centuries. Canoeing is also a very aesthetic link between a traveler and the land traveled. It is important to us that our customers have an opportunity to see and experience this. It is also one of the reasons why our customers are introduced to the basic canoeing technique prior to every trip. With a base of technique you will not only have much more fun paddling, but you will also be much safer on the water. We use the very best equipment available, including fine looking and ergonomic wooden paddles. 4. With all our trips safety is our number one concern. Our trained and experienced guides know how to avoid and manage dangerous situations. This includes whitewater rescue just as much as bear safety and general safety around camp. You will be presented with a portfolio of our guide's skills, qualifications and experience, so that you can get an idea of whom you are dealing with. We take pride in sending you out with the best and are sure that your much deserved vacation will be a very positive and safe experience. 5. Escape North Tours is among the leaders in eco-tourism in the Yukon's adventure industry. We greatly respect the Yukon First Nation but also the plant and animal life and apply all possible leave no trace and minimal impact skills to our trips. After we leave a camp nothing will show that we were there except our footprints. Guides:
